Parents,
The service I used for uploading pics is no longer in service, so I have created a Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/CampSaltandLight to give daily updates and pics during camp.

Time to Get Ready
Parents,
Camp is only about a week away, here is some updated info:
Salt & Light ’12 Camp
Pre-Camp Update 7/25/12
Travel Info: We will meet in the Fellowship Hall at Wildwood at 3:00 pm (EST) on Sunday, Aug 5 for check-in. At 3:20 pm we will have a Parent’s Meeting, and then load the bus for camp.
What to bring: Bible, old clothes, sleeping bag, pillow, towels, soap and toiletries, sunscreen, notebook and pencil, modest one piece swimsuit, flashlight, bug repellent, etc.
Snack Shack: Each camper is allowed to spend up to $3 a day at the Snack Shack, so please give them 12 one dollar bills.
What not to bring: Matches, firecrackers, knives, balloons, squirt guns, radios, cassette players, handcuffs, iPods, cell phone, PSP, or basically any electronics, silly string, etc – There is NO pranking (Help your campers get the Parent Trap movie out of their head!)
Email: You may send you camper email during the week, but please know that they cannot reply. I usually download email around midnight and print them out overnight, the address is: CampSaltandLight@aol.com
Medications: If your child has medications they will need to be turned in at check in on Sunday. We will provide a gallon size zip lock bag and a medications card to be filled out.
Prayer: Pray for the camper’s and counselor’s safety and spiritual growth, great weather, and a fun time.
If you have not turned in your forms, they must be NOTARIZED in order for your child to attend camp.

Summer is just around the corner, join us for Salt & Light 12: Keeping Cool in a Crazy World, August 5th - 9th.
Elijah – now there was a prophet! God called and empowered Elijah to do some amazing things, including defending the worship of God over that of Baal, praying for rain after a long drought, raising the dead, bringing fire down from the sky, and being taken up in a whirlwind . You might think that he had an easy life, but our friend Elijah would at times get scared, worried, depressed, or feel alone. But God never left him or stopped caring from him, just like He will never leave us or stop caring for us! Join us at camp this summer and learn more about this loving God as we look at the life of Elijah.
But this is also camp, so there will be a variety of activities including the archery, BB guns, water balloon fights, paddle boats, hiking, volleyball, swimming, crafts, night games, basketball, Wacky Olympics, and very messy games - to name but a few!
Watch for more details in the next week!
